Florida's water supply leaves calcium and mineral deposits that regular cleaning can't touch. We specialize in restoring cloudy, streaked glass to crystal clarity.
Florida has some of the hardest water in the United States. The high calcium and magnesium content leaves white, chalky deposits on glass every time water touches your windows โ from rain, sprinklers, or even humidity. Over time these deposits etch into the glass surface, making them impossible to remove with regular cleaning products.
On coastal properties like Siesta Key, Longboat Key, and Lido Key, salt air compounds the problem further โ accelerating mineral buildup and leaving a film that dulls your views and your home's appearance.
We use specialized solutions designed specifically for mineral and calcium deposit removal from glass โ safe for all window types and effective on even stubborn, long-standing buildup.
Stubborn white or grey spots that won't come off with regular glass cleaner โ that's calcium and mineral buildup.
Windows that look permanently foggy or hazy even after cleaning โ mineral etching on the glass surface.
Circular spray patterns from irrigation systems that leave rings of mineral deposits on your glass.
Brand new windows in Lakewood Ranch or Palmer Ranch already looking dull โ Florida's hard water starts working immediately.
A dull, hazy film on windows facing the Gulf โ salt air deposits that accumulate on Siesta Key, Longboat Key and Lido Key properties.
Windows that streak no matter how many times you clean them โ mineral deposits beneath the surface require specialist treatment.
Glass looks perfectly smooth, but at a microscopic level it's porous. Florida's water โ drawn largely from limestone aquifers โ carries dissolved calcium carbonate and magnesium sulfate. When that water evaporates off a window instead of being wiped away, those minerals don't just sit on top of the glass; they form bonds with the silica in the glass surface itself. Left alone, Florida's intense UV exposure bakes those bonds in place over weeks and months, which is why a hazy window often can't be restored with ordinary glass cleaner โ the deposit isn't a film sitting on the surface anymore, it's chemically fused to it.
That's why our process uses pH-balanced restoration compounds designed specifically to break those calcium and magnesium bonds without stripping the anodized coatings on surrounding frames or damaging landscaping below. For more severe, long-standing buildup, we can also use fine cerium oxide polishing โ a gentle, controlled abrasive that lifts bonded mineral deposits without scratching the glass. Which approach we use depends on how long the deposits have been building and how deep the etching goes, which is part of why we assess every property on-site before quoting treatment.
